2020 Partners in Preparedness Summit Series:
Disability Justice During Crisis

The 2020 Partners in Preparedness Summit Series starts with a webconference on June 30th, and is followed by weekly webinars on the theme of Disability Justice During Crisis until a concluding in-person event on September 9th with COPA Health.

We will be watching “The Right to Be Rescued”. This documentary was released in 2010 by Rooted in Rights. This documentary focus on events during and following Hurricane Katrina, which made landfall on the southeast coast of the United States in August 2005. Despite the fifteen years that have passed since this storm, many individuals who have disabilities encounter the same difficulties during disasters today.
